Become a Treatment Foster Parent
Being a Treatment Foster Parent makes a difference in the lives of children who need a stable home. It is much more than just a job: it is an opportunity to open your home to a child in need. As a Treatment Foster Parent, you will be part of the Open Skies therapeutic foster care (TFC) program. With 24/7 support from the TFC team, you will provide children and youth (mostly teens) with positive parenting and structured supervision in your home. These young people have serious behavioral or emotional problems and are unable to live with their own families or are transitioning in or out of residential care. You will furnish them with a safe, nurturing alternative to institutionally-based treatment services. The ways in which you make a difference are by providing a secure, stable and caring environment and helping your foster child develop new skills, encouraging positive behavior, and supporting communication and reunification with the biological family. The results can be amazing: A child who feels loved, is part of a family, and can be successful at school or work. Click HERE for additional information
